In 2011, Rome finds itself amidst a tumultuous era. The city's political landscape is in disarray as the government teeters on the brink of collapse, creating an atmosphere of uncertainty and unrest. Meanwhile, the Vatican faces its own existential crisis, adding to the complex web of challenges facing the capital city. It seems that even the very heart of Rome itself is feeling the heat, with its iconic squares becoming battlegrounds for various forces. Amidst this chaos, in the middle world, Cinaglia (played by Filippo Nigro) takes on a leadership role, striving to maintain order where Samurai's influence once reigned supreme. Alongside his trusted ally Badali (Emmanuele Aita), they continue to manage Rome’s criminal affairs, a task that is far from easy given the current climate of instability. Two key figures in this story are Adelaide (Paola Sotgiu) and Angelica (Carlotta Antonelli). Adelaide heads up an influential group known as the Anacletis, while Angelica supports her efforts by managing Ostia’s town squares. Meanwhile, Nadia (Federica Sabatini), another critical player in the story, assists both Adelaide and Angelica in their ongoing operations. Their roles are pivotal in this narrative, navigating a city where traditional power structures have been weakened, and new challenges arise at every turn.
